Environmental Protection Cost

The total cost of environmental conservation at the national government is about 140,000 US$ in fiscal year 2004, 190, 000 US$ in fiscal year 2005, and 290,000 US$ in fiscal year 2006. In addition, these budgets are not allocated for environmental, include science and technology. The Government of Lao PDR has not allocated the budget for water environmental policies at the national level.

The total cost of environmental conservation at the local government level is about 100,000 US$ in fiscal year 2004, 110, 000 US$ in fiscal year 2005, and 130,000 US$ in fiscal year 2006. These budgets are not allocated for environmental conservation, included science and technology. In term of local government, the budget is limited for fiscal year.
